The findings are that views can improve user experience and speed up the modeling process; they can also be used to customize the model editor in order to ease adoption and to improve stakeholder involvement during the collaborative modeling process. Participants also provided some textual comments about the view-based modeling approach. They stated that they liked switching between views and that the reduced palette gives a better orientation, which may explain the faster modeling times with views enabled.

SyncMeta implements a four-tier metamodel hierarchy, which is depicted in Fig. 3. Tier 3 defines the basic elements of a graph-based modeling language.
